On poweron, you hear the chime, the HD starts spinning then stops. Sometimes the screen remains blank, sometimes you get the checkerboard and the mac symbol asking for a boot disk. When inserting a boot disk (system 7.0.1) it complains that this version is too old for this computer. I don't have any newer versions to test with. (update: I obtained the original rescue diskettes)
The keyboard/mouse is missing.
The case is still remarkably white (not yellow).
The monitor was very dirty, mostly cleaned now.
The inside is clean an I see no defects, even the battery appears to be in perfect condition.
To Do
- Troubleshoot the HD issue. Could this be a problem with the power supply ?
- Try booting from the original system rescue diskettes.
